WARNING – BEWARE OF FRAUD

We want to warn you of the fraudulent sites that are posted on the Internet at the moment. Please be aware that there are people out there who want to take your money from you for nothing.

These are some of the points to look out for:

Usually they offer a vehicle at a very cheap price.

They say something like they have just moved to another country the car is Left Hand Drive in Right Hand Drive country or the other way about, and they can’t get on driving it.

They will say that the car is being held with their shipping agents, they may even give you a link to a website, then they ask you to send the money to a holding/escrow account, then they say they will send you the car and you have five days to approve it, if you do not like it then the car comes back at their expense and your money is refunded, of course the car never arrives and your money is never refunded.

Beware of any company that you cannot speak with, always check with them before you send any money, never send any money via Western Union, unless you know and trust who you are sending it to, as your money cannot be tracked or returned.

If you are selling a car, they will offer to buy it, send you a cheque which they say includes the cost of shipping, then ask you to send the shipping costs to the shipping company, usually by Western Union or some other untraceable method, then you find the cheque has been dishonoured and you will have lost your money.

If they tell you there is a shipping company involved always call them before you send any money, legitimate companies will always be able to confirm their Bank account details, remember legitimate companies do not normally move money using the likes of Western Union, they have proper Bank accounts.

Beware, these people are very clever! If it looks too good to be true then it probably is!
